Bostonia Public House is an elegant renewal of a classic meeting place that celebrates the history, traditions and people of Boston. The restaurant includes an exposed kitchen serving 'refined-rustic' cuisine, bars on two floors (including an impressive 110 ft. walnut bar), event spaces and private rooms with soft seating. The food & beverage offerings are intended to be approachable and stylish. Imaginative and locally inspired menus, diverse wine by the glass offerings, and elegant live entertainment combine to promote a vibrant social scene.
The atmosphere is best described as sociably sophisticated. An ambiance that lends itself to both a polished dining experience and spirited bar environment. An attractive space for discerning urbanites and casual diners alike. Bostonia is a concept that pays homage to all things Boston including the historical architecture that defines and beautifies our city. We are fortunate to have acquired a space that fits our concept and mission. We are ideally situated in The Board of Trade Building on the corner of State Street and Broad Street in the heart of the Financial District and adjacent to Faneuil Hall. The building was constructed in 1902 by architects Winslow and Bigelow. At the end of the 19th Century their firm was considered the largest architectural firm in Boston.
Bostonia Public House is an elegant yet unpretentious addition to the restaurant landscape of downtown Boston. The space thoughtfully integrates rustic elements with modern accents. Iconic architecture, raw building materials, vintage finishes are juxtaposed and flattered by distinctive lighting, glossy brick treatments and marble flooring. The cognac / coffee tones exude a casual stylishness and foster a warm, approachable feel. Nayak says, "The intent was to give reverence to the City's rich heritage and mingle in contemporary touches crafting a genuinely alluring gathering spot."
