Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the host/hostess is to greet guests at the door in a warm and professional manner. Support the success of operations by seating and presenting menus to guests in a friendly, quick manner. Other duties will be expected as need arises.

Essential Job Duties
• Promptly greet guests as they arrive, presenting menus and informing them of daily special information. Interact with guests, react to guest requests appropriately and thank guests as they are leaving to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Take guest information and quote wait to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
• Maintain host stand operations including floor plan board, observing table availability/turnover, and cleaning/organizing/stocking stand; answer phone according to greeting standards.
• Fill to-go orders, if applicable
• Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness, openness and engagement, flexibility and team-oriented attitude.

Skills, Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum two years experience in an upscale restaurant environment.
• Polished and professional communication in English; ability to use sound judgment and resolve minor issues.
• Excellence in attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and maintain positive working relationships.
• Experience with Open Table preferred

Working Conditions:
• Work is performed in the guest area, interacting with customers on a regular basis.
• Shift work hours; regularly includes weekends, holidays and may require overtime.
• Physical Requirements include regularly standing/walking for extended periods of time, lifting objects up to 20 pounds without assistance, and frequently bending/reaching/twisting/stooping and grasping/pushing/pulling to operate all necessary equipment.

Job Summary

Keep bar patrons and employees safe by preventing minors and intoxicated customers from entering the bar, removing unruly patrons and responding to problems.

Essential Job Duties

Control who enters and exits the premises.
Make sure no customer or other person is bothering or harassing customers or employees.
Intervene in altercations to control and minimize harm to guests and staff.
Be aware of situations in the bar that could escalate into altercations.
Look for any illegal or suspect activity occurring in the bar.
Escort customers who have been asked to leave outside of bar
Arrange transportation for intoxicated guests by calling a taxi
Call the proper authorities in case of a problem.
Help to clear out the bar at closing time and keep people out of the bar after closing.
Follow bar's procedure for conflict resolution
Attend staff meetings.
Follow all health and safety regulations.
Check all customer identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age

Skills, Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum one to two years experience in related position in a restaurant environment..
Excellence in quality of work, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Verbal and written communication skills; must be able to read patron identification/licenses
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and maintain positive working relationships.

You'll manage a large team of hosts, provide leadership in a high-volume setting, and ensure that every guest receives a warm welcome and impeccable service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists, optimizing seating arrangements to maximize efficiency.
• Lead and supervise a team of hosts, ensuring smooth front-of-house operations.
• Address guest concerns, ensuring quick resolution and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Maintain a welcoming, clean, and organized front-of-house environment.
• Manage customer expectations in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Monitor the flow of guests, ensuring quick turnarounds while maintaining a high level of service.
• Train and develop new team members, ensuring they align with our service standards.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Maitre d' or in a similar leadership role in a high-volume restaurant.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage high-pressure situations with grace and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of reservation systems and POS software is a plus.
